Not that anybody really reads it, but then we've been over all that.

I'm sure it's been obvious that I'm trying a few new things with the comic. Color, character design, text changes, etc. That's what this whole thing as been for me anyway. The main reason I started the comic is that I figured the best way to develop my own style was just to start drawing and let things evolve. Hopefully I've entertained a few people along the way.

After just reading what I just wrote, it kind of sounds like I'm quitting. Well I'm not, don't worry about that. I'm still not content with my own work, so I'll keep plugging away at it. If you all want to read it, great!

I had intended to have comics for all next week and ran out of time. Instead you get on more Monday and then I'll be back the following Monday. Of course I won't be home till Sunday afternoon, but I should be able to get a strip done. Anyway, sorry. I'll be back soon.

No big exciting excuse though. I've just been out of town the last couple days. I'll have one up Wednesday. I promise.

While I've got your attention though, a couple other things. First of the existence of this text frame. It's been here months, but I've been told a couple times lately that people didn't know it was here. So I figured I'd point it out with big arrows.

Next at bat is the buzznet link I added last week over there to the right of the comic. Click on it daily to vote for the strip (pretty shameless huh?).

Last but not least is the new cafe press store I opened. If you are so inclined there is a link up at the top of the page with the e-mail and archive links. I've got some pretty cool stuff put together, check it out.

I had it done and uploaded, but named incorrectly. With the automated sight tools if it's not named properly it isn't seen as a particular days update. As such the extra 3 that got put in the title screwed things all up.

Its a little on the disgusting side. It's one of those strips that is based on a conversation in the office, and I think we've already come to the easy conclusion that in said office we are a bunch of disturbed little freaks. Anyway, hope it at least gave you a little snicker, or maybe a gag.

is that soon a small alien will burst forth from my chest, killing me in a horrific scene of gore and feces. At least I'm pretty sure there will be feces. I mean, if an alien was tearing its way out of your chest, wouldn't you soil yourself?

It's been hot lately right? I mean its August, it's supposed to be hot. So I'm sound asleep with really no blankets to cover me. A common condition right now I'm sure. However this apparently makes my nipple a good target for the cat. I'm assuming the contrast in flesh tones made it easier to see in the dark, even for a cat, and the constant motion of my breathing just lured him in. Now if you've never been awakened at 1:00am by a cat clamping onto your chest, well you've never lived.

First, just a reminder (since I don't actually have it listed anywhere) I update every Mon, Wed, Fri. I've been pretty regular about it too... Yeah me!

The other thing was just something I thought was kind of cool. I bought a months worth of advertising for the strip over at Onlinecomic.net. Cost me 10 whole bucks. Woo! We'll see if that gets any attention. Who knows.

I've got Damon playing City of Heroes. We were running around blasting zombies just last night. Evil doers beware the Stumpy and MeatHammer will find you.

The names in that game are great if you haven't seen it already. I fight with friends MeatHammer, Hell Beast, and Johnny Gash. On top of that I've seen great names like Blue Cross and Blue Shield (they were a duo), Skelejen (another friend of mine), and Billy Retard. People get very creative.

The origin of the comic name. I had a professor in college that used to tell us this. We'd be in a lab and he'd say "anybody who forgot your safety glasses, put your hand over your good eye". Its kind of become the international sign for "hey you're doing something stupid" in the office. If you are in the middle of something that looks like it just might go bad, say lighting a mason jar full of acetylene, then anybody watching will have a hand over one eye.

Yeah yeah yeah, so Garl's head is a little smaller in the last frame than it should be. It would make my life easier if you all would just assume that it contracts and expands with the beating of his heart in real life. I'm pretty sure I've seen it do it before, so that's what we are going to go with.

Guess I never got around to it.

I just wanted to point out a couple little tidbits about this comic. First, I didn't make this up. Shout "Rectum" in our office and someone will return "Damn near killed em". Its just a given. Second, the shot of the hallway in our office, is exactly what our office looks like. I think that kind of caught the guys in the office that read this off guard. But that's why I'm hear. To keep them on their toes.

expressed some concern over the size of the kill-o-tron. I would like to assure you that he is no taller than 6 foot. Rather he just happens to be standing amid a bunch of young, very short trees. In the future I will try and put some sort of size reference in, a yard stick perhaps, to make this more clear. I would also like to point out that he is not larger than the moon, but rather that the moon is a long ways away. Thus it looks smaller than it actually is.

Ok I know, it's not really that big a thing. But hey, I think its kind of cool.

Anyway, as you can see the 4th strip is up. So far, with the possible exception of the single panel first comic, this one looks the best of the lot. Or rather I should say, it looks the closest to what's in my head. The characters are more consistent I think. Anyway, hope you enjoy.
